May has been a busy month. Â We drove to DD’s college to pick up her stuff at the end of the semester and then also get her outfitted for a trip with her school. She is now off on her trip and headed out to wide, wide world. Â One son started his new job and the youngest is still homeschooling. We are schooling year round the next two years. It will be good and seems to be just what we needed to do. The stress level in our house has dropped. School and church activities have slowed down considerably and we are delighted to have this change in schedule.
We have had a bunch of rain. It has caused quite a bit of flooding. We were under a flash flood alert when I took this photo. We were in no danger the highway at this point is built up higher than the surrounding fields. The rain is good as we have had drought in the summers the past few years. The lakes are starting to fill back up to a more normal level all across the state.
On the creative side of things. I did get some crochet hats created for a craft show that is no longer happening. Â It was great fun to create some quick projects that use up the yarn. (I am feeling burdened by my stash of yarn.) I have been in the process of sewing coffee press cozies, cup cozies, bibs and other lovely things.
I am rather out of steam lately and I think it is time to just be and enjoy family and friends.
Talk to you later,
Karen
