I have just been on a baby-blanket-making-binge these days! It is so much fun to crochet baby afghans. They are quick and beautiful to crochet. This one, the Eyelet Baby Blanket, is one of my favorites.
Eyelet Baby Blanket
I just love it. I have crocheted many variations of this baby blanket through the years but this one is so bright and pretty — it’s by far my favorite. It would be so easy to change out the colors and make it all over again. I hope you will love crocheting it as much as I do.
What I’ve Been Up To
This is my first full week after our youngest daughter’s graduation; I have to admit, I am LOVING the time I get to spend writing patterns and crocheting! I have been churning out patterns that will hit the shops later this month and I have been working on beautiful winter scarves as well.
There is a wild bunny that sits outside my studio window and I catch sight of him from time to time as he munches on our grass. He reminds me of Peter Rabbit. We are quite blessed with wildlife in our neighborhood. These rabbits can be a blessing (or not) depending on your garden. We aren’t gardening this year so it doesn’t matter, but in years past they have eaten the veggies down to the roots.
We are going to totally ignore the fact that the yard needs mowing in this photo. The rabbits are actually doing us a favor!
Free Fashion Doll Blanket Pattern
I have a friend that works with 4-H. She called and asked me about easy-to-crochet patterns for her group of girls. After some conversation, we hit on these super easy Fashion Doll Blankets for the younger girls. I wrote them some time ago and have neglected to get them in the shop or introduced here. This pattern is free to anyone. I would like to hear how many copies you are making if you get a chance; just leave a comment below to let me know.
Talk to you later,
Karen
